FEBRUARY MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

Howdy Greenwood Point!

Welcome the first monthly update for the new (Board) year! The Board and I are already hard at work to find the best ways to support this community in a variety of ways. At the Annual Meeting last month, I spoke of two things that I personally am taking on to improve as the new President, which is Communication and Community. I think it's important to improve what is around us as we continue to build stronger relationships with each other. My hope is through these emails as well as the actions of the Board, you can see the progress being made. We are going to try some new things over the coming months, so please let us know what you like and don't like! Additional surveys will be sent out for structured feedback, but feel free as always to give opinions and thoughts.

NEWS AND HAPPENINGS 1. Annual Meeting and Survey Results. We had a great turnout at the Annual Meeting last month. And amongst the items discussed was the first-ever Pulse Survey for our neighborhood. As promised the results to the survey can be viewed from this link (https://www.surveymonkey.com/stories/SM-vnuE8T0YWXf2V_2BjIdZ2rMQ_3D_3D/) with password "GreenwoodHOA" without the quotes. I will keep these results live for the next month. 2. Social Calendar. Some of the strongest feedback from the survey was people's interests in social events. In response to this, our fearless social committee Kelly Schilcher and Patrick Stammerjohn worked with the social committees of our neighbors in South Cove to come up with a schedule of events, some of which will be joint. Here is the current schedule with dates you can mark on your calendars now:

April 8: South Cove x Greenwood Point Spring Eggstravaganza May 5: Cinco de Mayo Progressive Cocktail Hour July 4: BYO BBQ at the Beach August: Ice Cream Social (Doris to confirm date) with Meerwood December 16: Santa at the Beach Tentative August/September: Back to School Bonfire (S'mores at the beach)

3. To start the social year off right, we wanted to get the word out now about the Spring Eggstravaganza! It will be hosted by both South Cove and Greenwood Point HOAs. So please join us for a neighborhood spring celebration complete with egg hunt, crafts, donuts, coffee, mimosas and fun!

When: April 8th at 10 a.m. Where: Meet the Easter Bunny at the corner of SE 44th Way and 190 ave SE (near entrance of Nutcracker Lane) to begin the parade to the festivities at South Cove Park. Volunteers appreciated! Click here to visit our sign up genius

REMINDERS 1. If you have a home modification in mind, please obtain a form and submit to the A.C.C. for review. Submissions can either be mailed through USPS to the address on the form, or they can be scanned and emailed to the GPHOA at greenwoodpointhoa@gmail.com. The forms are available at https://www.greenwoodpointhoa.com/covenants-forms. 2. We always are looking for more people to get involved with the HOA for any of the committees! It's a good way to meet your neighbors, and the time commitment is only what you can provide. If you are looking for ways to get involved or want to discuss any options, feel free to reach out. 3. Though not affiliated with the GPHOA, there is a private Greenwood Point Facebook group you might be interested in joining. Neighborhood happenings, items for free and sale, and communications may be found here. The link is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/469316523132049. Thank you for the continued support and look forward to getting to work for all this year! Ryan Schilcher 2023 GPHOA President
